One Defining Moment…
Dancing the role of the blue girl in Stanton Welch's Tu Tu. Being alone onstage is something rare. I felt a very special and deep connection with the role.



Samantha Lynch was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. She trained under Christine Walsh and Valmai Roberts at The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet. She was a semifinalist at the Prix de Lausanne in 2006 and was recently highlighted as the "Dancer on the Rise" in Dance Magazine.

Ms. Lynch has been featured in many ballets both classical and contemporary, including: Jiri Kylian's Falling Angels and the black couple in Forgotten Land,Christopher Bruce's Grinning in Your Face and the role of the mother in Hush and the blue girl in Stanton Welch's Tu Tu.

She has also performed in: Stanton Welch's The Core: Gershwin, the Heart of the Big Apple (Marilyn), La Bayadère, Marie, Pecos (Bill’s Mother), Medæval Bæbes (soloist roles), Nosotros, Swan Lake, and Cinderella; Ben Stevenson's The Sleeping Beauty (Queen), The Nutcracker; Mark Morris’s Sandpaper Ballet; Sir Frederick Ashton’s La Fille mal gardee; Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon; John Cranko’s Onegin, George Balanchine’s Serenade and featured roles in Symphony in C; Ronald Hynd’s The Merry Widow and August Bournonville’s La Sylphide.
